Admission Requirements
- Applicants must hold a Master’s degree in the specialty from an Egyptian university or an equivalent degree recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities.
- A maximum of 10 years should have elapsed since obtaining the Master’s degree.
- Enrollment is open twice a year in January and July. Results are announced in March and September.
- The minimum study period is two years, ending with a comprehensive examination.
- Thesis registration must be completed within one year of enrollment.
- Thesis defense is permitted only after at least 20 months from the Faculty Council’s approval date.
Requirements for Awarding the Degree
- Successful completion of advanced clinical or practical training and all required credit points.
- Conducting original research for at least 20 months and passing the thesis defense.
- Passing the written, clinical, and oral examinations as specified in the regulations.
Examination System
• Written exams are held after thesis approval and at least 2 years of registration.
• Practical, clinical, and oral exams follow the successful completion of the written exam.
• Written exam results remain valid for three consecutive sessions.
• Exams are held twice annually in May and November.
Grading Standards
The minimum passing grade is 60% for any theoretical, practical, or written examination.
Suspension & Cancellation
Enrollment may be suspended for a maximum of 3 years for valid reasons (e.g., military, childcare, or illness).
Cancellation Causes:
- Expiration of the legal registration periods.
- Negative reports from supervisors regarding progress.
- Non-payment of tuition fees.
