Master of Science (M.Sc.) Program
The M.Sc. program is divided into three components:
Part I (1.5 Years): Includes basic clinical training in general departments (Internal Medicine, Surgery, or Pediatrics), alongside a core curriculum in these departments and basic medical sciences. The basic science modules consist of a general component for all specialties and a specialized component tailored to the candidate’s field. For basic science departments, practical training within the respective department replaces clinical training.
Examination: A comprehensive exam (Written, Oral, and Practical/Clinical). Students failing a subject retake only that specific module. Progression to Part II is contingent upon passing Part I while continuing specialized training.
Part II (1.5 Years): Comprises specialized academic courses, advanced clinical or practical training, and other academic activities. The program may also include elective courses.
Scientific Thesis: Candidates are eligible to register their thesis project after successfully passing Part I. The thesis defense can take place no earlier than six months from the registration date.
Certification: The M.Sc. degree is awarded only after completing the specialized training period, acceptance of the thesis, and passing the final comprehensive examination (Written, Oral, and Practical/Clinical).
Medical Doctorate (M.D.) Program
Clinical Training: Training is an integral part of the degree and is based on a Credit Point system. Candidates must document all training activities in a Logbook certified by the Head of Department (or Training Coordinator) and Hospital Administration. Completion of the minimum required credit points is a mandatory prerequisite for exam eligibility.
Scientific Activities: Active participation in departmental scientific activities is an essential part of the program. This includes attending conferences, participating in seminars and research projects, and attending thesis defenses. Activities must be recorded in an Activity Logbook certified by the Head of Department. Candidates must fulfill a minimum of 75% of the required credit points across all activities to be eligible for the examination.
