Green Office Kasr Al Ainy
The Green Office, Kasr Alainy, Cairo University held an event entitled “Eco- Friendly Campus: It All Starts with Us” on 12-12-2024, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) Egypt Office.
The event was held under the patronage of Professor Hussam Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy, Chairman of the Hospitals Board of Directors, and Head of the Green Office, and under the supervision of Professor Omar Azam, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Deputy Head of the Green OfficeProfessor Rehab Abdel-Hai, Head of the Department of Public Health.
The event covered topics related to climate change, its impact on the environment and health, sources of emissions, and how to reduce them. The event included general knowledge competitions to engage the audience and encourage participation. The annual art exhibition of Kasr Alainy students under the title “Green Kasr” was held alongside the event.
The closing remarks included the announcement of a competition among students to present proposals to improve the campus environment.
